Arkville Head Start Lead Teacher/Center Director

The Arkville Head Start Center is looking for a Center Director/Lead Teacher.

Plan and conduct an appropriate classroom utilizing the abilities of the staff, parents and volunteers to the fullest extent. The program must be in keeping with the performance standards, early childhood practices and the needs of the individual child as well as the group.

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and 2 years’ experience teaching young children.

The ideal candidate must be hard working, reliable, and trustworthy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, offer guidance and support to child care providers on meeting regulatory requirements and implementing best practices; Provide child care resource and referral services to families and providers in Delaware County; Help individuals navigate the process of becoming registered child care providers.

Energy Technician II

Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Energy Technician II in the Weatherization Department for our Hamden location. Pay range to start at $20.92 per hour, 40 hours per week. The Weatherization Department assists households in reducing their heating and cooling usage by installing energy efficient devices, installing insulation, and completing health and safety related repairs. Responsibilities include managing an energy technician as a two-man crew installing energy saving measures and making health and safety repairs.

Family Support Worker

Seeking an energetic, dynamic, self-starter to provide support to foster parents and youth in Delaware County.  Candidate to have experience working with at risk youth.  Flexibility, empathy and the ability to relate well to children is a must.  Position will require direct service provision to youth.  Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, education or related field and/or four years’ experience working with children or adolescents.  Salary range $22.93-27.35 an hour.  Sign on bonus of $250.00 after one month of employment.
