Energy Technician III

High school diploma and/or four years’ experience in residential construction with supervisory experience. NYS driver’s license required. Family Residence Prevention Service Coordinator

Seeking energetic, caring, compassionate individual to provide a nurturing, supportive, safe home for children in foster care. Live in position with housing and all related expenses provided to suitable candidate and immediate family members. Candidate to provide parenting and oversight to youth in foster care in Delaware County. Bachelor's degree and/or four years' experience working with children and adolescents. Couples encouraged to apply. This position requires experience working with children and adolescents. Salary range $52,510-$62,620 annually.

Family Residence Support Worker

This rewarding job includes fun job duties such as recreation, transportation and other related activities to assist children placed in foster care in Delaware County. Flexible hours, Part time full time positions open. Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, education, or related field and/or four years' experience working with children or adolescents. HEAP Administrative Assistant

The HEAP Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing HEAP applications and assisting clients in obtaining other energy related benefits, including Weatherization services. Rate of pay is $18.53 per hour. This position is based in the Office for the Aging in Delhi. High school diploma and/or GED with course work in business math or accounting and/or two years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or working with the public NYS required and NYS Driver's License required. $250 sign-on bonus after one month of employment!

HEAP Examiner

The HEAP Examiner is fully responsible for the organization and implementation of the Home Energy Assistance Program. Rate of pay is $20.38 per hour. This position is based in our main building in Hamden. Associates degree in human services, business management, or related field; and one year's experience in human service area; and/or three years’ experience in human services and general office procedures required and NYS Driver's License required. $250 sign-on bonus after one month of employment! Housing Quality Specialist I

The ideal Candidate must be hard working reliable adn ready to work in a fast pace environment. Maintain accurate and complete files and records for all current poram participants. Minimum of high school diploma with some post-secondary education. Family Development Credential a plus. To provide unit inspection for the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program. Data entry skills, and ability to read, interpret and follow directions required. Clean, valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursed. 21 hours per week. Salary range $17.02 - $20.31 per hour.

Maintenance Assistant

Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for maintaining Delaware Opportunities fleet vehicles, which includes cleaning inside and outside of vehicles, maintaining pre and post use checklists, oversight of needed supplies and equipment within the vehicles, and assist with other building maintenance. High school diploma or GED and/or one year of fleet maintenance and/or outside maintenance experience. 30 hours per week. Monday- Thursday. $15.06 per hour. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology or related field and/or 3 years' experience in human services and working with individuals with SUD. Peer certification strongly preferred.
  • NYS driver's license required.
  • Excellent communication skills, computer skills, and ability to relate to low-income individuals and families.

BA in sociology, psychology, women’s studies or related field and/or 4 years’ experience human services or social work. Provide services to victims of crime, domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse including medical and legal advocacy, accompaniment, and information and referrals to needed services. Experience and willingness to provide outreach education and public speaking desired. Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle required. 35 hours per week. Salary range $20.38-24.32 per hour.
