Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Developmental Disabilities Services Coordinator. Exempt position $52,510-$65,437 per year, 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be hard working, reliable, and trustworthy. Responsibilities include managing overall operation of Respite Care program including hiring and supervision of staff and monitoring of budget expenditures; overseeing the development of a staff pool of Developmental Disabilities Aides; coordinating all aspects of and facilitate developmental assistance to provide Developmental Disabilities Aide staff development as well as to Developmental Disabilities Services Assistant; overseeing the provision of services to Delaware and Chenango County families with developmentally challenged dependents including intakes, assessments, eligibility determination, education, etc.;  managing allocation and disbursement of respite care financial assistance and salary expenditures; working with Delaware, Chenango, and Broome Regional staff, other staff and programs of Delaware Opportunities and with the community, to maximize services and benefits for clients; serve on Medicaid Compliance and Incident Review Committees; and implement new OPWDD programming as assigned.  Responsible for the overall development and management of the Respite Care and waiver-based programs/services and a member of the Child and Family Development team. Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing, counseling, human services, special education or related field, and/or 4 years’ experience with the developmentally disabled population and/or direct service provision and supervisory responsibility.
