Delaware Opportunities, Inc. Parent Education program is seeking an energetic self-starter to provide support, parent education, coached visitation, and transportation services to families referred by the Department of Social Services. This position requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, the ability to provide in-home services, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide supportive services and parent education to families;
  • Conduct coached visitation as assigned;
  • Provide transportation for families as needed;
  • Deliver in-home services in accordance with program guidelines;
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation;
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding case progress;
  • Perform all additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and Family Development credential and/or
  • Associate’s degree in related field and/or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Human Development, Psychology or related field;
  • Experience working with children and families preferred;
  • Valid NYS driver’s license;
  • Safe driving record with no moving violations in the past 2 years;
  • Biennial physical required

Schedule & Pay:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Salary: $23.39–$27.90 per hour depending on experience
  • *Some weeknights and/or weekends may be required*
