HEAP 2025 Closing Dates

The purpose of this is to inform applicants the Regular and Emergency benefit components will operate through the close of business (COB), April 7, 2025. Mail-in applications postmarked on or before the closing date meet the deadline and must be processed. The functionality to submit online HEAP applications for Regular component benefits through MyBenefits will be disabled at 5:00 pm on April 7, 2025. However, applications filed after a district's regular closing time on April 7, 2025 and submitted via MyBenefits after that time may be denied.

Current applications for those persons receiving SNAP benefits and/or public assistance will be processed by the Delaware County Department of Social Services, 607-832-5300.

Current applications for applicants age 60 or older will be processed by the Delaware County Office of the Aging, 607-832-5750.

All other current income applications will be processed by Delaware Opportunities Inc., 607-746-1615.

Effective April 1, 2025 all questions regarding HEAP must be directed to the Delaware County Department of Social Services.
