Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking an energetic, self-starter to provide in-home visitation services to youth. The Youth Engagement Specialist position focuses on educating and modeling positive skills, including social skills, communication, conflict resolution, and healthy relationship building. Recreational activities and community outings are an essential part of this role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, education, or a related field and/or
  • Four years of experience working with children or adolescents
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and engage youth in meaningful activities

Schedule & Pay:

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • 35 hours per week
  • Salary: $23.39–$27.90 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home visitation and support services to youth
  • Educate and model positive social, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Plan and participate in recreational activities and community outings
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
  • Follow program guidelines and agency procedures
  • Perform related duties as assigned
