Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking 2 full-time Homeless Advocates. Pay range to start at $22.93 per hour, 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be hard working, reliable, and possess the ability to assist and advocate for clients in need in a non-judgmental way. Works well with a team and independently. Responsibilities: Staff will assess clients strengths and suitability for the program, screen for eligibility, encourage self-sufficiency through assisting with establishing attainable goals, conduct regular visits with enrolled families, provide referrals, support, advocacy to assist with attaining goals, maintain case files, attend regular staff meetings, staff will be responsible for tracking funds and maintaining accurate data and client files.  Required Skills: Ability to relate well to people of varying socio-economic backgrounds; good communication skills, integrity and ability to work independently and as a team. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and/or experience working with low income participants.
