Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher/Center Director for the Arkville Head Start Center. This position is responsible for planning and conducting a developmentally appropriate early childhood classroom program that meets Head Start Performance Standards, best practices in early childhood education, and the needs of individual children and the group.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching young children
• Valid NYS driver’s license
• Personal vehicle required (mileage reimbursed)

Schedule & Pay:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Salary: $22.20-26.48 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities
• Utilize staff, parents, and volunteers effectively within the classroom
• Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and early childhood best practices
• Support individual child development while managing group needs
• Maintain required classroom documentation and records
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
• Perform related duties as assigned
