Program Description

There are two main components to the Senior Dining Program: Congregate Dining and Home Delivered Meals. Congregate Dining is centered around enjoying a meal in a social setting with activities, dietary support and relevant informational presentations. This part of the program is for people who are mobile and can predominately self-transport. Home Delivered Meals are designed for homebound seniors who have difficulty preparing meals, physical limitations or transportation difficulties. This program provides daily contact as well a verbal and visual confirmation of one’s physical well-being. The delivery is also designed to provide a hot, nutritious meal while combating social isolation, food insecurity and malnutrition.

Transportation is also provided to the dining centers, shopping assistance, information and referral services, and recreational activities.
