Program Description

All youth age 14 years or older who are in foster care are required to participate in the independent living skills program. Children who are identified as needing the services who are not in foster care are also referred to the program. The program uses the Casey Life assessment and curriculum and teaches youth how to prepare and/or transition youth to independent living. The Casey Life Skills Program is used to measure areas the youth may need assistance with to move towards independence and determine their skills and strengths.
