Engagement Environments
with Kathleen Harland
Infant Toddler Specialist
Capital District Child Care Council

It can be difficult to handle the routine care giving needs of infants and toddlers and also be available to guide them through the ins and outs of successful play with a room full of their peers.  Many caregivers find themselves wishing for one more grown up in the room to help children find and settle into play experiences.  In this training we will look at ways to develop classrooms and care giving spaces so that the environment encourages engagement.  Interest areas can "call out" and "invite" a child to come explore at a time when the teacher may not be available to suggest it.  This is a Make and Take training.  No cost.
