Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking energetic and caring individuals to support developmentally disabled individuals in the Stamford, Davenport, Sidney, and Walton areas. Positions offer flexible scheduling—no weekends or overnight shifts required—and may be per diem, part-time, or full-time (20+ hours/week) depending on your availability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Clean NYS driver’s license with no moving violations in the last two years
- Personal vehicle required (mileage reimbursed)
Responsibilities:
- Meet with prospective families in need of developmental disabilities services
- Schedule and provide services based on case assignments from the Home Care and Developmental Disabilities Services Director
- Follow individual service and habilitation plans and agency procedures
- Promote independence, mutual respect, and healthy family dynamics
- Advocate for families and refer to additional services as needed
- Incorporate parent input, community resources, and agency guidance into service delivery
- Complete logs and documentation in a timely manner
- Maintain regular contact with the Home Care and Developmental Disabilities Services Director and Assistant
- Maintain confidentiality and follow mandated reporting requirements for suspected child abuse or maltreatment
- Attend meetings and complete additional duties as assigned
